Summary

You will serve as a Program Manager within the Strategic Programs Branch at NAVSUP Weapons System Support. You will be part of the Strategic Weapons System (SWS) Division who is charged with supporting the Naval Nuclear Deterrence Mission and the Trident Weapons System on behalf of Strategic Systems Programs. This is your opportunity to be part of the team tasked with supporting the Navy's highest priority operational weapons system.

Duties

  • You will serve as an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) manager for one or more weapon systems throughout all phases of acquisition.
  • You will coordinate and integrate actions related to the supply support of assigned systems, equipment, and platforms.
  • You will participate in all phases of ILS planning for the life cycle of assigned systems.
  • You will provide provisioning plans, schedules, and supply support programs for assigned systems, equipment, and platforms.
  • You will evaluate alternative logistic support strategies and recommend alternative options when needed.
  • You will monitor repair programs for assigned systems, equipment, and platforms to meet command goals.

Qualifications

GS-12
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing tools such as provisioning, allowancing, configuration management, requirements determination, repairable management, maintenance, maintenance planning, procurement execution, packaging, handling, storage, and transportation to perform Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) tasks and assignments. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Developing and maintaining milestones and performance statistics; 2) Monitoring contractor efforts by visiting sites, assigning priorities, and evaluating support capability for assigned weapon systems; 3)Analyzing, creating, and presenting data and reports; 4) Reviewing procurement actions to ensure requirements are met; 5) Determining, negotiating and finalizing supply support matters for assigned systems, equipment, and platforms.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and/or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specific mission, weapons system, or program. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Collecting and analyzing data; 2) Assisting with the preparation of technical reports; 3) Applying knowledge of logistics management principles and concepts to resolve problems; 4) Conducting research and summarizing the results.
