Summary

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS OPERATIONS DIVISION of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Duties

  • You will manage, monitor, and provide multimodal transportation solutions for intra and inter-theater force flow, distinguished visitors, foreign national, aeromedical evacuation, leave and pass program and special operations support missions.
  • You will build and manage intra-theater requirement generation and tracking processes.
  • You will develop current and future operations movement plans.
  • You will manage node performance for commercial and military distribution assets, support equipment and infrastructure.
  • You will monitor Newsgroups, JOPES and other systems to develop and publish reports that ensure full synchronization of efforts.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing and evaluating methods on a variety of logistics synchronization processes, procedures, data, issues, positions, plans, policies, and guidance; 2) Developing logistics movement, transportation, deployment, distribution guidance, process changes, and policy recommendations; 3) Analyzing logistics data, processes, shortfalls, issues, direct studies, and recommending solutions and decisions; and 4) Planning, organizing, and managing logistics multi-modal distribution activities and requirements.

Eligible DoD career or career conditional employees shall be granted statutory return rights to their former position for a period of 5 years if continuously employed in a foreign or non-foreign area provided by Executive Order 10895 and DoDI 1400.25, v 1230. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
