Summary

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella (FLC-SI) of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SIGONELLA .


Duties

  • You will develop logistics documentation for supply support, facilities, and packaging/handling/storage/transportation (PHS and T) requirements.
  • You will evaluate integrated logistical support (ILS) programs to determine compliance with strategic plans.
  • You will brief officials and other agencies of integrated logistics support (ILS) operations, policies, and procedures.
  • You will explain long range planning, standardization, modernization, or technical issues regarding maintenance or modernization of ships.
  • You will resolve integrated logistical support (ILS) problems by developing new approaches and procedures.
  • You will analyze data and reports to determine integrated logistics support (ILS) support effectiveness and condition of fleet units.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Applying appropriate shipboard installation Integrated Logistic Support directives and specifications to engineering problems to provide a resolution; 2.) Adapting precedents or make departures from previous approaches to work assignments to tailor practices to meet special Integrated Logistics Support projects; and 3.) Determining the technical validity of blueprints, work orders, engineering change orders and supply technical manuals for highly complex equipment to make numerous technical recommendations.
