n order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include experience with weapons system Acquisition Logistics and/or like experience; knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition and logistics management processes and initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with individuals and groups with in the office as well as outside the immediate work unit.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of subsystems or equipment, and integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of logistics functions and personnel in support of the process.
- Ability to use office automation tools and techniques to design and generate reports, briefing materials, and/or comparable documents.
- Knowledge of acquisition requirements sufficient to serve as a Contracting Officers Technical Representative (COTR).
- Knowledge of the missions, roles, function, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other entities tat govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process and integrated life cycle management.
- Basic knowledge of security, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Broad knowledge of logistics management theories, principles, concepts, processes, policies and regulations.
- Broad knowledge of logistics functions, programs and systems applicable to this position.
- Plans, organizes, and executes logistics activities for the organization. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and Branch objectives.
- Participates in special logistics management operation projects and initiates and performs special assignments. Identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals.
- Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships.
