Duties
This position is located at the G4, in Phoenix Arizona. The purpose of this position is to function as the logistics manager of the organization and to serve as the organizational Property Book Officer (PBO) responsible for routine accomplishment and oversight of property accountability functions.
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

- ARIZONA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army National Guard, in a military organization supported by the G4.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Must complete National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a current unrestricted, excluding glasses, state and military driver’s license.
- Must possess and maintain access to the Arizona Army National Guard computer network (NIPR) and required systems.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain required GCSS (Global Combat Support System) - Army certification within 15 days of hire date.
- Irregular (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
- Incumbent must possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance within 12 months of appointment.

Military Grades: SGT/E-5 to SFC/E-7
Compatible Military Assignments: 92A and 92Y
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience planning and organizing work assignments. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
Education
You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics):
1. Knowledge of Army supply regulations, policies, and procedures (e.g., AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1) to maintain property accountability and support Property Book operations.
2. Knowledge of property accountability principles, hand receipt management, inventory procedures, and financial liability requirements.
3. Knowledge of automated logistics systems, including Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army), to process transactions, update records, and track equipment.
4. Knowledge of supply classifications, cataloging procedures, and turn-in, lateral transfer, and fielding processes for expendable, durable, and non-expendable items.
5. Skill in reviewing, reconciling, and maintaining accurate property records to ensure 100% accountability.
6. Skill in using automated logistics systems and databases to input, manage, and retrieve supply information.
7. Skill in evaluating supply discrepancies and preparing adjustment documents and supporting paperwork.
8. Skill in coordinating with units, supply personnel, and external agencies to complete supply transactions and resolve issues.
9. Skill in planning and executing inventories, to include cyclic, sensitive item, and annual requirements.
10. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to explain supply procedures, provide guidance, and prepare documentation.
11. Ability to work independently, manage multiple supply actions, and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
12. Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures to daily supply operations.
13. Ability to train and assist unit supply personnel in proper property accountability processes and documentation requirements.
14. Ability to maintain organized, audit-ready files and records.
