All Permanent (Tenure 1 or 2) employees (T32 military technicians/ T5 National Guard employees) with membership in the Tennessee Army National Guard, who meet qualification standards.

As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-11, you will develop, implement and evaluate the logistic policies for the organization. Ensure compliance with the command supply discipline program, command maintenance discipline program, and other directed command inspection programs. Provide guidance and funds management for all decentralized logistic funds. May be required to represent the National Guard and the unit Commander in the community. Provide technical guidance and assistance to all organizational logistic personnel pertaining to the accountability of all property assigned to the organization. Perform other duties as assigned.

• This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
• Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

• Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
• Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

• May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
• Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
• For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
• Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
• For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver’s license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
• Applicant must complete a Baseline Pre-Placement Screening for General Schedule positions within 30 days of appointment.
• Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate Tricare Reserve Select eligibility.

Qualifications

Military Grades: E-6 through E-7

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field; Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level; experience, education, or training which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities); experience planning and organizing work assignments.
