Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
This position requires knowledge and skill in the operation, control and cleaning of heavy power equipment such as, power lawn mowers and gasoline powered edgers. Skill in performing routine operator maintenance such as, cleaning and oiling power equipment; and adjusting and sharpening blades. Skill to work safely with heavy tools (axes, picks, tampers, chain saws, etc.), avoid accidents, and to complete work according to established schedules. Skill to operate electric hand trucks, pallet jacks, and dollies to move very heavy loads.
