Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Laborer without more than normal supervision including: assembling and installation of exhibit parts utilizing common tools; performing custodial duties to include sweeping, raking, light ground maintenance and polices areas; and applying crowd control, answering visitor questions and facilitating building security. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

- Physical Effort: Duties entail continuous standing, bending, pushing, and stooping. Occasionally climbs ladders or uses lift devices to perform high cleaning and maintenances operations. Employees at this level frequently lift and move equipment and components weighing over 50 pounds such as boxes of cleaning supplies, buckets or liquids, and panels or parts of temporary exhibits of equipment.
- Working Conditions: Incumbent works outside in all kinds of weather, and inside in areas that may be dusty, drafty, and noisy. The equipment, tools, and tasks involved at this level frequently require extreme care and use of safety gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses, or respirators to avoid severe injuries.
NOTE: This position will require the incumbent to flex their time between the Airborne and Special Operations Museum (downtown Fayetteville) and at the 82d Airborne Division Memorial Museum on Fort Bragg.
