Summary
Serves as a Laborer (Banquet) in the Banquet Set-up Department of the Hale Koa Hotel.
This position will remain open until filled with a first cutoff date of 4/23/2024 for employment consideration. Additional lists will be pulled after this first cut-off date at the request of the hiring manager.
Local candidates will be reviewed first as PCS is not authorized. If determined that area of consideration is to be expanded, all candidates will be considered.

Duties
Works under supervision of the leader or supervisor who provides general instructions, standard procedures and policies and relies on incumbent to complete assignments in a timely manner.
Sets up banquet areas, private parties and outside facilities for formal dinner shows, luaus, meetings, conferences, weddings, etc. involving the physical assembly movement and arrangement of furniture and equipment. Sets up stages, dance floors, pianos, runways; assembling required items, and arranging the areas. Restores rooms or areas; removes, transports and stores property and equipment. Operates a complex electric ground cart for movement of food, supplies and equipment. Performs tasks that require significant manual skill, very heavy physical effort, several steps, phases and detailed procedures following drawings, specifications while utilizing knowledge of project requirements.
Performs specific duties in the sound and light operations for hotel dinner shows.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of the process, which requires remembering directions and/or sequences, is required. Skill in performing routine procedures and tasks using small hand tools in the arrangement of stages, platforms, runways, etc.
Routine work is completed independently. General instructions are provided with assignments. Completed work is periodically reviewed for timeliness, work practices and compliance with instructions that may consist of simple drawings or specifications.
Requires frequent lifting and moving of equipment weighing over 50 pounds. Very heavy physical effort is required.
Works indoors and outdoors. May be exposed to adverse weather conditions when working outdoors. Exposed to drafts, noise, dust and dirt. Possibility of bruises, muscle strains, cuts and scrapes. Required to follow safety procedures and exercise proper handling of equipment to avoid serious injury in the work area.

1. Demonstrated work experience that included the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position as indicated above.
2. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.
