However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Lead Hazardous Waste Disposer (Motor Vehicle Operator/ Forklift Operator) (Direct Hiring Authority) ~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform the common Lead Hazardous Waste Disposer (Motor Vehicle Operator/ Forklift Operator) duties which includes interpreting guides such as diagrams or blueprints, provide status updates to the supervisor on work progress. I can determine proper identification of materials, correct incorrect labels, and store materials in accordance with regulations. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to ensure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
- PHYSICAL EFFORT-Position requires frequent standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, and working in uncomfortable positions. Physical handling of HW/HM will be routine. May be required to lift or carry items that weigh up to 50 pounds, shifting/relocating heavier items using material handling equipment.
- WORKING CONDITIONS- Work is performed inside and outside and exposes incumbent to weather extremes. There is exposure to noise, vibrations, and jolting from operated machinery. Incumbent is exposed to possibility of cuts, scrapes, and bruises. There is the possibility of exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes from spills and/or leaking containers and may be required to wear protective clothing (e.g., rubber boots, coveralls, goggles, aprons, gloves, respirator, etc.). Work is dirty, dusty, and greasy.
