You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Operate dispatching, communications and automation systems, 2) Process incoming emergency and non-emergency call requests for fire, medical and police assistance, 3) Coordinate emergency services with law enforcement and emergency response agencies, 4) Serve as a mentor by providing and explaining guidance on emergency service dispatching policies and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-07.
