Duties
- Registers patrons, charges/discharges materials, processes overdues and reserves.
- Assists with interlibrary loans and reserves, shelves library materials, prepares displays, programs activities, answers basic reference questions, and assists customers in locating materials.
- Basic/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials.
- Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories.
- Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated systems.

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
- Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade
Or
Two years of education above high school
Or
A combination of specialized experience and education that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements.
Best Qualifications:
-At least three (3) months experience (paid or unpaid) of planning, implementing, and executing events and programming for adults, teens, and/or children
-At least three (3) months experience (paid or unpaid) registering patrons, charging/discharging materials, and/or assisting with interlibrary loans
-At least three (3) months experience (paid or unpaid) in basic/copy cataloguing
-At least three (3) months experience (paid or unpaid) in a library that provided specific knowledge of library rules, policies, and procedures for circulation, technical service, and/or events
Education
