Qualifications
One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade
Or Two years of education above high school
Or A combination of specialized experience and education that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements.
HIGHLY QUALIFYING CRITERIA:
1. At least one year experience working in early childhood education, elementary/secondary education, library child and youth services, or similar related field that equip candidate with knowledge of children's and young adult literature, early literacy and STEM subjects, and children's/family programming.
2. Associate or bachelor's Degree, Professional Certificate, or significant advanced coursework beyond a high school diploma in early childhood, elementary, secondary, or special education, child development, library and information.
Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume. Government positions must include pay plan, series, grade, to and from dates, and government agency/department. (All qualification requirements must include experience performing duties equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level.)
Applicants who meet both minimum qualifications and HIGHLY QUALIFYING CRITERIA will be referred to the selecting official for consideration first. If management does not wish to select a highly qualified candidate, they may request a referral list including all qualified applicants.
