Licensed Clinical Social Worker - PTSD Treatment Services

Location: Batavia Medical Center

Join our team at the Behavioral Care Line, where you will be a vital part of our interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing comprehensive PTSD treatment services. You will work with both outpatient and residential clients, offering assessment, therapeutic interventions, and consultation services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy for patients diagnosed with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Identify and manage high-risk patients, offering crisis intervention and case management services.
  • Conduct family conferences and liaise with family members to facilitate comprehensive care.
  • Participate in outreach activities to promote PTSD services.

Requirements

  • Education: A Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
  • Licensure: Must be licensed to independently practice social work at the master’s degree level.
  • Experience: One year of post-MSW experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in healthcare or related settings is preferred, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in providing therapy for PTSD.
  • Skills: Proficiency in spoken and written English, and knowledge of community resources and medical/mental health diagnoses.
  • Preferred: Certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and/or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Work Schedule

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
