About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team at the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System. In this role, you will provide vital mental health services to Veterans, contributing to their psychological and emotional well-being. Your services will include case management, individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and advocating for Veterans' needs both within the VA and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for Veterans and their families using advanced clinical techniques.
  • Provide psychotherapeutic treatment using evidence-based psychological methods to address mental and emotional disorders.
  • Facilitate discharge planning and ensure collaboration with Veterans and their families for effective execution.
  • Educate Veterans and families on available services and assist in obtaining appropriate referrals and resources.
  • Act as an advocate for Veterans to improve their independence and empowerment while navigating bureaucratic systems.
  • Prepare rapid assessments and crisis management plans for mental health admissions.

Working Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship and proficiency in English are required.
  • Must hold a master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited school.
  • Current state license to independently practice social work is required at the master’s level.
  • Demonstrated skills in working with diverse Veteran populations and formulating effective treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

  • Licensed at an independent practice level.
  • Experience delivering individual, family, and group therapies.
  • Proficiency in providing evidence-based treatments.
