Job Opportunity

Join our dedicated team of professionals as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at the Eastern Colorado Health Care System, where you will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to our veterans. Work closely within our Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) to diagnose and treat mental disorders and improve the quality of life for those who have served.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mental health disorders and develop treatment plans.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group psychotherapies using Evidence-Based Treatments.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of mental, emotional, and behavioral health.
  • Provide psychoeducation to enhance treatment adherence and prevent relapses.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care.
  • Engage in program development and evaluation tasks.
  • Support educational initiatives and participate in training seminars.

Work Schedule & Location

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This is an on-site position with no telework options available.

Qualifications

  • Master's or doctoral degree in a related mental health counseling program accredited by CACREP.
  • Full, current, and unrestricted license to practice independently as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with providing both individual and group therapy.
  • Familiarity with diverse treatment modalities and evidence-based practices.

Physical Requirements

The role involves light physical activity, including standing, walking, and carrying light items such as books and files. The position is primarily office-based with occasional travel for training.
