Major duties for the position include (but are not limited to):
- Demonstrates nursing practice with onsite and/or remote supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Administers medication under the supervision of a registered nurse. Demonstrates understanding of the effects and/or reactions caused by medications, treatments, and procedures.
- Appropriately prioritize overall patient care needs. Makes astute observations of subtle, less obvious changes, both physical and emotional, in patient's condition, and accurately and thoroughly documents care delivered and patient's response to care that could require immediate modification of the patient's care plan.
- Demonstrates the independent technical knowledge and skills that are complex in nature and that contribute to the veteran's treatment plan and support the successful completion of the visit.
- Responsible for the patient site facilitation of all clinical, business, scheduling, and technical aspects for real-time Telehealth applications, including, but not limited to, Telemental Health, Primary Care Telehealth, Telerehabilitation and patient education clinics.
- Uses video-conferencing technologies, Telehealth technology and scheduling software to coordinate and connect staff, resources, patients, and providers in the manner effective to delivery of services, patient care, education, and training.
- Responsible for any patient, staff education/ training, documentation (in LEAF system if needed), and assistance with workload capture that is basic for the completion of the visit and/ or training.
- Responsible for educating both patients and staff on Telehealth modalities, and Mobile Apps if needed.
- Assists the Nurse Manager/ Facility Telehealth Coordination (FTC) with managing the day-to-day operations of patient appointments, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating effective communication between staff and patients.
- Assists with iPad troubleshooting, and setup as needed.
- The LPN/LVN assists in patient care under the direct supervision of an independent licensed healthcare provider.
- The LPN/LVN can be crossed-trained to perform a range of direct care duties that may include, collecting vital signs and other clinical components of a primary care visit as directed by policy or clinic standard.
- Demonstrates the ability to provide a full range of care to patients' requiring complex treatments and care with onsite and/or remote supervision by the Registered Nurse/ Physician.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., subject to change based on the needs of the facility.

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases. When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66

Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
