Lifeguard Position

Join our team at the Navy's Non-Appropriated Fund Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Support Branch at Naval Base Everett. We are seeking responsible and courteous individuals who are committed to safeguarding the lives of our patrons and enhancing our community's aquatic experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform lifesaving rescue operations and provide CPR or emergency first aid.
• Supervise swimmers to ensure safety and manage crowd control.
• Strictly enforce pool safety rules and regulations.
• Report any safety hazards to supervisor promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool area including buildings and grounds.
• Test and manage pool chemical levels for safety.
• Conduct swim lessons and lifeguarding/CPR training for youth and adults.
• Assist with special events and scheduled pool parties.
• Work evening and weekend shifts in our indoor heated facility.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Pass a 250-yard timed swim test.
• Current Lifeguard Certification from a recognized organization.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Exhibit a neat, clean appearance and courteous attitude.

Employment Requirements:

• Successful completion of National Agency Background Check.
• Meet Federal Employment suitability requirements.
• Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer is required.
• Adherence to a drug-free workplace policy is mandatory.
