WHO CAN APPLY:
GROUP I - All qualified Male/Female Commissioned Officer (O3/Capt - O5/Lt Col) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Air National Guard Military Technician Program.
GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Air National Guard Male/Female Commissioned Officer (O3/Capt - O5/Lt Col) regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia Air National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period.
Group III - Individuals eligible for membership in the Virginia Air National Guard.
Military Grades: Commissioned Officer (O3/Capt - O5/Lt Col)
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience or training functioning as the technical advisor as well as the supervisor of logistics readiness operations.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:
- Exercising supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- Recommending methods to help the squadron/flight optimize use of resources and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Developing new approaches related to logistics workforce readiness.
- Representing the wing regarding logistics readiness issues at meetings within the organization.
