About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.


Duties

  • Evaluates maintenance and support concepts across the portfolio of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Reconnaissance, and Surveillance (C5ISR) weapon systems in acquisition and sustainment.
  • Reviews and provides input to support concepts that ensure system readiness, reduce support costs, and enable the transition to sustainment.
  • Ensures that policy and procedures required for future systems are incorporated into ILS planning and documents.
  • Advises on product and logistics matters, business planning, metrics management, and all other aspects of logistics management within the area of responsibility.
  • Develops innovative processes, procedures, policy, and training material into unified program that will meet DOD requirements for communications-electronics technical support.
  • Acts as spokesperson at briefings for the assigned area of responsibility.

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Foundational certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the Education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Analyzing logistics support data to provide recommendations for improvement; 2) Reviewing logistics documentation for accuracy; 3) Performing logistics support for weapon system readiness; and 4) Preparing oral briefings and/or developing written reports.

This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-03 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS-12 grade Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS-13 grade step 05 in the broadband. The Control Point for this position is equivalent to GS-13 step 5 at $136,658 including locality at the rate of 33.26%. Management will set the selectee's pay for this position within the control point salary range consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position or if the incumbent's salary currently exceeds the GS-13, step 05 level the incumbent' s salary will be put on a salary control point at the incumbents existing salary


This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business and Technical Management Career Path (Acq Demo only) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
