Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business & Technical Management Career Path (AcqDemo only) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This position is assigned to Product Lead Strategic Spectrum Warfare responsible for delivering extended-range, terrestrial sensing, collection, and electromagnetic attack system-of-systems.

Duties

  • Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist concerned with directing, developing, and performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
  • Responsible for cradle to grave intensive logistics management to support complex, major weapon systems from concept through field deployment.
  • Perform the full range of planning, liaison, contract monitoring, equipment and organizational interface, control of other government elements supporting the effort and logistics phases of field exercises and tests.
  • Support includes the management and interface with logistics element managers, contract support services, training facilities, Integrated Logistics Support Management organizations.
  • Establishes or ensures the establishment of ILS requirements of acquisition documents and contracts. Monitors the status and quality of ILS development services and products.

  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level Foundational in the Acquisition Career Field Life Cycle Logistics within 36 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance with sensitive compartmental information or access for the duration of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as performing duties that include: 1) Drafting logistics support documents to aid in the development of acquisition strategies; 2) Utilizing aspects of the integrated logistics support process to promote an effective property management system; and 3) Developing life cycle logistics support initiatives to lower overall life cycle systems cost.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level/equivalent to the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service.
