SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

Specialized experience must include all of the following:
1. Mastery of advanced concepts, principles, and practices in the supply support field of logistics management and (ILS) management and operations. Knowledge of the acquisition process; budgeting process; and practical engineering and Coast Guard command structure, missions, and programs; and skill to participate in ILS programs.
2. Possess a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for assessment and improvement of logistics program effectiveness or the improvement of complex logistics management processes and systems.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of the range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of one or more important logistics management operations.
4. Knowledge of agency program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key program events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the worth of program accomplishments.
5. Skill to plan, organize, and conduct team study work and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations where the proposals involve substantial agency resources, require extensive changes in established procedures, or may be in conflict with the desires of the activity studied.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
