Duties
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
As a Logistics Management Specialist at the NH-0346-3 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Providing support with the direction, development, and performance of multi-functional logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistics actions required to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) goals and mission.
- Identifying the specific requirements for money, manpower, material, facilities, and services required to support the Program Manager's (PM) cost, schedule and performance objectives.
- Correlating Program Manager's objectives with Program plans to ensure that the required logistics support is provided at the right time and place.
- Coordinating and evaluating logistics support in consideration of the twelve Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements (maintenance planning; manpower and personnel; supply support; support equipment; technical data; training and training support; computer resources support; facilities and infrastructure: packaging, handling, storage, and transportation; design influence/interface; sustaining engineering and product support management) in accordance with Performance Based Logistics (PBL) to identify and execute specific requirements, identify and mitigate risk, and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions required to meet each requirement on time
- Possessing a working knowledge of Office of the Secretary of War acquisition, planning, funding, and management information systems. Research and develop Department of Defense (DoD) and Agency logistics directives and Instructions.
- Coordinating with higher level specialists to jointly research and develop readiness and logistics plans, strategies, and procedures focusing on delivering a BMDS capability that is effective, efficient, and supportable to meet operational requirements.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the NH-03 broadband level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below and must meet three of four specialized experience listed below to be qualified:
- Work with logistics directives and regulations to support non-tactical vehicle management to include acquisition, operation, utilization, maintenance, reporting, and disposition of General Service Administration leased and owned vehicles.
- Assess the technical and economic factors associated with managing a non-tactical fleet of vehicles.
- Support transportation support requests to move organization personnel.
- Work with higher level logistics specialists to implement logistics goals of the organization.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
