The United States Space Force (USSF) at Patrick SFB, Florida is searching for a Logistics Management Specialist for SLD 45/RM (NH-0346-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent).

Join the United States Space Force (USSF) Launch & Test Range Systems (LTRS) Space Delta 45 as a Logistics Management Specialist and lead the way in ensuring assured access to space for national defense. In this role, you will oversee vital sustainment and maintenance of existing LTRS subsystems and have input to the supportability needs of new subsystem projects. You as part of a maintenance team will interface with other team members and the contractor to develop, integrate and then solve maintenance needs on LTRS. Your strong technical and high level of maintenance experience in a mature Weapon System Sustainment will be crucial in delivering effective capability rapidly while maintaining the high standards of the USSF space launch production domain. Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in management. Any certification or DAU training on Logistics Management is highly encouraged. Such as Life Cycle Logistics Level 2 certificate. They should have at least 5 - 10 years' experience in Maintenance and Supportability in Air Force/Space Force fielded systems. Familiarity with the integration of government and contractor teams is crucial. They should have strong technical proficiency, an understanding of supportability through DoD/DAF acquisition processes. They have exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively. They should be a teammate demonstrating a principled approach to work, a strong sense of duty, and a commitment to helping others succeed.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Mastery of all aspects of logistics management and the applicable policies, practices, regulations, and laws.
2. Expert knowledge of acquisition logistics and sustainment logistics mission and function.
3. Expert knowledge of theories and principles of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, development, and execution.
4. Knowledge of systems design, specifications development techniques; and an understanding of acquisition and sustainment requirements, as well as logistical support for program modernization and system acquisition processes and requirements; skill and ability to manage the design, development, production, delivery and operational sustainment of space system logistics support products and related infrastructure to meet DoD and USAF/USSF operational and security requirements.
5. High degree of skill and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing sufficient to interact with USAF/USSF, DoD headquarters components, NASA, contractors and other government and private-sector agencies.
6. Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to logistics system research and development, acquisition and sustainment.
7. Knowledge of contractual processes, procedures and technical requirements to include Statements of Objectives (SOOs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and contract proposals.
8. Ability to independently plan, organize, manage, and coordinate the logistics portion of a major system's acquisition and deployment for operational use; to include the identification and correlation of specific logistics requirements for funding, materiel, and services needed to support instrumentation and communications systems. Ability to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives and goals, identify support requirements (including funding, contract development, and other technical support requirements), and establish relationships between the stakeholders involved in deploying the logistics plan.

- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours.
- PCS is authorized.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework"
- Position will close in 5 business days or 75 applications (whichever comes first).
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year
- This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
- Employee is expected to meet Continuing Acquisition Education requirements.
- Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
- This position is designated a NON-CRITICAL APDP position.
