You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the G-F DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER.

Duties

  • You will serve as shift foreman, responsible for supervision of several MLC journeymen
  • You will be responsible for continuous inspection of work in progress and final inspection upon completion.
  • You will respond to emergency calls from Hospital, Bachelors Enlisted Quarters (BEQ's), Bachelors Officer's Quarters (BOQ's) and other related facilities attached to the Naval Hospital.
  • You will create/modify/review Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DLMSS) service tickets and create/modify/review MAXIMO work orders, screen material requests, and update information as needed.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
  • You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Incumbent is required to attend and pass all assigned training determined necessary within six (6) months after assuming the duties of this position.

This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.

Incumbent may be required to participate in the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) program as a cardholder, approving official, or alternate approving official.

May be required to enter confined spaces such as manholes and equipment cabinets or vaults.

May be required to work aloft in bucket trucks on top of buildings and towers.

May be required to stand for long periods, may consist of walking, crawling, or kneeling for periods of time.

Priority consideration will be given to military spouse preference and family member preference eligible residing in the commute area of the duty location for this position. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
