Summary

This job opportunity is for an MANAGEMENT ANALYST, position description D2505000, within the 177 MXO FT of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide information and analyses to all levels of management using the assessments to answer the why, how, when and where questions.

This vacancy announcement is for a Dual-Status Technician position which requires active membership in the New Jersey National Guard (uniformed military service). Official appointment is not effective until membership within the New Jersey National Guard is confirmed by the gaining Human Resources Office.

Duties

As an MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0343-10, you will:

  • Conduct Special Studies to assess Health of the Unit Readiness (HUR)
  • Designs summary reports to meet recurring management needs
  • Identify trends and significant deviations from plans, schedules, and workload estimates
  • Identifies new information requirements, submits information system requirement documents, and coordinates with data system development services for implementing new programs
  • Performs in-depth comprehensive analysis of complex and prioritized unit readiness issues
  • Perform work for the planning and management of the administrative budget and related financial documents
  • Analyze performance data to determine manpower, equipment, and facilities maintenance capabilities
  • Provide in-depth analysis of maintenance manning and equipment, material and facility limitations to determine the impact each has on unit and mission effectiveness

Qualifications

General Experience:
Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes and principles of management. Experience using computer and automation systems.

Specialized Experience:
Must have at least 24 months experience which has provided a working knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience analyzing, interpreting and developing policies and procedures of local management.
