About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the FSS Marketing Office. This position includes the opportunity to enroll in Health and Life Insurance, 401K, and Retirement, Annual and Sick Leave. Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively, lift up to 50 pounds, have and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Must successfully complete a pre­employment physical exam.

Duties

Applicants will be reviewed and referred on the following dates: January 30, 2026, February 09, 2026, and closing on February 19, 2026. Announcement will close once position is filled.

Assists the Community Services Flight Chief in planning, developing, deploying and maintaining a year-round marketing, publicity and communications plan to meet the goals and directives of the 45th Force Support Squadron (FSS) Strategic Plan and individual FSS organization marketing plans. Directly responsible for the economic and efficient management of the FSS Marketing Office and its entire range of resources in accordance with all applicable regulatory guidance. Researches, interprets, analyzes and applies sound marketing, publicity and commercial sponsorship strategies and guidelines to ensure effective and timely communications and promotional resource allocation. Designs sound data collection processes such as after action reports, surveys and customer appreciation campaigns to help assess customer need and demand, compiles infonnation and makes continuous process improvement recommendations to FSS Activity Managers and Leadership. Creates and recommends promotional campaigns and advertising materials to increase sales in revenue-generating activities, aggressively recruit customer participation in FSS programs and events and infonn customers of important infonnation regarding availability of FSS customer services. Develops promotional themes and materials to perpetuate the FSS brand, established goals and objectives. Works with Activity Managers and designated personnel on the design and implementation of advertising for resale items, Activity's and basewide events, and services, and develops specific publicity campaigns and materials. Assists managers with studying customer trends and detennining appropriate adjustments to program plans and services. Assists managers with research, purchasing and implementation of infonnation technology promoting digital communications and e-commerce platfonns. Oversees the creation and scheduling of all print media and maintenance of the FSS social media platfonns. Functions as the SLD 45 point of contact for all installation solicited and unsolicited commercial sponsorship and advertising ventures and ensures all proposals, written agreements and documents utilized comply with and reflect corporate compliance with OAF standards. Performs the full array of personnel supervisory and management duties. Establishes an internal performance management and production system to ensure proper work assignment to maximize marketing personnel job success and FSS Activity success. Required to operate a government vehicle as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
A minimum of 2 years progressive work experience providing a comprehensive knowledge of business management and
administrative practices of a hospitality or retail industry with specialized experience in marketing concepts and techniques including but not limited to: merchandising, promotion campaigns, production schedules, branding, graphic layout, photography, editorial writing and editing, social media communications and data analysis and reporting. An undergraduate degree in a marketing or related field is desirable. Knowledge of sponsorship, web design and related infonnation technology platfonns is highly desirable. Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively, lift up to 50 pounds, have and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and a pre­employment physical exam. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
