Duties
Receives direction on the processing of Marketing Requests and Campaigns. Serves as the Marketing Division liaison to all MCCS facility supervisors and program managers. Receives and responds to routine telephone inquiries and mail. Uses Wrike and Microsoft Outlook to field Marketing Requests. Prepares routine correspondence with clients and internal Marketing staff by email or through Wrike marketing request messages, using Microsoft Word and various software. Will occasionally use Adobe Creative Cloud Software.
Receives Marketing Request submissions and works with clients to determine needs for each request and campaign. Using the "fixture form" and Marketing Campaign Guide, suggests quantities, relevant print materials and digital assets for location. Writes, edits, and proof-reads copy. Acts as the liaison between the client and the Graphic Artist. Educates and informs MCCS facility managers and supervisors on the Marketing Division's procedures including products, services, and processes. May provide formal briefs and training as requested. Utilizes a variety of ideas and concepts designed to enhance awareness and utilization of MCCS facilities and services. Assists facilities with selection of available services based on knowledge of marketing trends.
By direction, gathers online quotes for outsourced marketing material. Reviews clients Purchase Order Requests prior to submitting with marketing request and provides guidance to the client as needed. Works with clients to determine what copy or restructuring they need promoted on the MCCS 29 Palms website. Communicates website ideation in a marketing request to supervisor for supervisor to complete the website edits.
Uses the Marketing Campaign Guide to insert campaigns into Marketing Requests. Assist with the coordination of MCCS program and event advertising through print materials, digital media and social media. Responsible for creating social media campaigns for each Marketing Request. Works directly with client to evaluate their program and promotional needs. Develops creative copy and creative direction. Inserts campaign elements into Marketing Request form. Compiles an After Action Report for each campaign detailing the contributions and outcome. This includes tracking attendance numbers, type of print assets and digital media used, date released, where and for how long, website activity and analytics, social media (likes, shares, and comments) activity and analytics, ways to improve and change campaigns to get more attendance, and ensure we are meeting the target demographics.
May be directed to implement Headquarters Marketing Campaigns. Downloads marketing materials from Gear Locker, Crossroads and various other platforms, saves and stores them in shared drives according to established record management requirements. By direction, will create Marketing Requests for low cost/no cost campaigns for Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center entities.
Maintains official files and destroys records with official disposition instructions. Creates cost reports using the Productivity Costing Tool Sheet and use data for after action reports. Assists with the coordination of the annual MCCS Guide by organizing MCCS ads and assisting the editor by reviewing the copy on MCCS event and program pages. May be assigned to work with others in the department on Ribbon Cutting Events when they occur. May cut posters and roadside signage. May place banners, roadside signs, in and around MCCS facilities, as directed by the 'Road Sign Signs' campaign schedule. May develop exhibits for communication and promotional requirements.
Will participate as required in the process of surveying at special events, programs, and various base facilities. This includes conducting surveys, organizing, tabulating, and managing primary research data, and compiling data and producing reports. May also organize and conduct focus groups.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
