Summary

You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER in the REPAIR DEPARTMENT (TRF-300), HULL DIVISION, PAINT SHOP (71A) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

  • You will be responsible for issuing Hazardous Material to work centers.
  • You will maintain specified inventory levels of Hazardous Materials in the Issue Center.
  • You will perform inspection, receipt, labeling, and storage of Hazardous Materials inventory awaiting issue.
  • You will gather and compile data for reports.
  • You will identify sources of hazardous waste.

Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO INSPECT. Perform inspection of inventory at receipt and confirms conformance of Hazardous Material to specifications for procurement and availability of appropriate Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the particular Hazardous Material. Conduct inspections of production space and any other operational locations to ensure environmental compliance. Informs superiors of potential problems and assists in resolving the reported problems.
