In addition to the basic education requirements, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
FOR GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing engineering test data; 2) Writing technical engineering reports 3) Performing engineering calculations; 4) Analyzing technical information for accuracy; and 5) formulating test plans to ensure scientific accuracy.
OR
1 year of graduate-level education
or superior academic achievement, that is directly related to the position.
FOR GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting cost estimates and feasibility studies; 2) Reviewing design proposals; and 3) Reviewing reports of failures and recommending remedial action.
OR
2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
or master's or equivalent graduate degree, that is directly related to the position.
