This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Superintendent Senate Office Buildings, Assistant Superintendent Facilities Operations Division, Maintenance Branch, A/C Evening or Night Section and performs journey-level Maintenance Mechanic duties in electrical, plumbing and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).

Skill and Knowledge -Comprehensive knowledge of myriad of regulations and methods in plumbing, air conditioning and electrical work.

Responsibility - Independently fixes equipment and used established regulations to fix final product.

Physical Effort - May work in harsh or difficult positions for extended periods of time. Recurrent standing, lying or sitting. Recurrent independent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.

Working Conditions - The work is performed in inside and outside in varying weather. May incur cuts, burns, chemical exposure, bruises or electrical shock. Adheres to defined safety regulations and wears protective gear such as ear devices, hard hats and steel toed shoes.
