Duties
The incumbent is responsible for the repair, use and preventive maintenance of the following types of equipment: Troubleshoots, services, and repairs equipment including, but not limited to:
o Overhead patient lifting equipment, portable patient lifting equipment, beds,
wheelchairs, stretchers, and pneumatic tube systems
o Pumps; medical air, medical vacuum, instrument air, waste anesthesia gas, dental
air, dental vacuum, dental waste anesthesia gas, condensate return, hot water
recirculation, heating hot water, chilled water, sump, domestic water pressure
booster, ice melt, sump pump alarms
o Traffic control barriers, bollards, guard shacks, guard rails, building ladders, speed
bumps, parking lot fencing, electric gates, parking lot height limit alarms, wall and
door protection, cardboard compactors, bio-hazard sterilizer, glass crushers, scissors
and equipment lifts, dock plates, bumper locks, overhead doors, roll down "firefly"
doors,
o Trash carts, scrubbers, floor polishing equipment, vacuum cleaners, food conveyors,
tray-veyors, ovens, dishwashers, food disposal units, food mixing equipment, food
slicing equipment, glass washers, food delivery and warming units, pot and pan
washers
o Pallet jacks, pallet stacker truck, power pallet jacks, warehouse scales, storage
cages, arena seating

Physical Requirements: Incumbents will stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, frequently handle, lift, and carry items that weigh up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and carry items that weigh over fifty pounds. Incumbents will engage in periods of
continuous exertion while cutting, welding, bending, and shaping complex items and constructing larger, bulkier items. The workday requires frequent activity and foot travel as well as use of all hand and power tools.
