You will serve as a Maintenance Worker at Golden Gate National Recreation Area. This position is to performs recurring building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties and to assist journeymen and other higher-graded workers.

Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following:
- Performs electrical tasks such as replacing light switches and household light fixtures, changing light bulbs, andassisting electrician when pulling wire in conduit and installing electric boxes.
- Performs mostly concrete and plaster touch up around existing historic and other masonry structures.
- Working largely without direct supervision, operates and performs minor maintenance on a variety of vehicles suchas ten wheel dump truck, front end loader, bulldozer, hot oil distributor, road brooms, street sweepers, asphalt laydown machine, etc.
- Operates equipment on flat or rolling terrain, in refuse dumps, and at construction sites withsimple terrain problems and performs duties such as plowing snow, spreading road material, hauling materials tojob site, loading material on dump truck, removing rock slides, clearing sides of roads, removing hazardous trees,rolling and compacting asphalt and base materials for roads, walks, parking lots, etc.

Physical Demands: Physical effort is heavy to moderate and requires occasional lifting or handling of objects or materials up to 50 pounds, unassisted, following proper lifting procedures to avoid injury. Frequently required to stand while working, climb ladders or scaffolding, and bend, stoop, climb, and work in awkward positions.
Working Conditions: Exposure to a variety of seasonal weather conditions while working outdoors (temperatures -40 to 90+ degrees). Subject to danger of falling from ladders or scaffolding. Exposure to dust, dirt, wind, and rain. May work with dangerous chemicals and around moving equipment; paints, solvents, etc. May be exposed to electrical shocks, and biting insects.
