Duties
As a Management Analyst (Travel Specialist),GS-0343-13, you will perform the following major duties:
- Resolve day to day problems relating to travel policy, processing of documents through the agency eTravel system, and use of the agency travel charge cards.
- Provide authoritative advice and guidance to staff, the Chief Financial Officer and the agency senior management on requirements, actions, issues, and principles, and activities for the oversight and operation of the agency's travel and travel charge card programs.
- Assist with ensuring that the agency eTravel system is configured to comply with applicable regulations and to meet agency needs.
- Analyze travel charge card transaction data to identify possible misuse of travel cards and follow-up to resolve them.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must meet the Basic Requirement below:
GS-13: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service (Experience may have been gained in the private sector). Specialized experience is experience researching, analyzing, and interpreting Federal travel, and travel charge card regulations and guidelines and related systems to work with and guide travelers and cardholders; Developing, modifying, and maintaining agency travel, and travel charge card policy; Overseeing an agency's travel management and travel charge card system; Performing or overseeing audits of compliance with travel and travel charge card policy; Analyzing travel and travel charge card activity data to resolve program operations problems and identify instances of noncompliance with policy; Evaluating and proposing changes to agency policy and guidance; and Providing formal and ad hoc training to managers and travelers.
