Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) Headquarters Space Force Command (HQ SF) at The Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia is searching for a Management and Program Analyst (NH-0343-04, GS 14/15 equivalent).
Description:
The HQ SF 3/4/7 Force Generation Division (HQ SF/S7O) is a total force team responsible for connecting service-level decisions with Field Commands (FLDCOMs) and the Joint Staff. Within the division, the Readiness Branch establishes USSF readiness reporting policies for joint operational planning, manages the Space Force Input Tool in the Defense Readiness Reporting System, and oversees inputs to key Congressional and Joint Readiness Reports. This position entails dynamic daily requirements, including responding to readiness taskers from Space Force Field Commands, USSF Senior Leaders, the Joint Staff, OSW, and Congress. The role involves developing service-level policies, assisting Field Commands with readiness issues, and working with or leading teams to resolve mission-critical problems. This culminates in briefing USSF Senior Leaders on recommendations to improve readiness and drafting official reports.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with DoW readiness reporting, processes, and procedures, including direct knowledge of Space Force readiness reporting and the Space Force Input Tool within the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS). This individual must be adept at a senior level, capable of defining, integrating, and implementing strategic direction for vital programs with long-term Service impact, as well as providing strategic solutions for mission-critical problems. The role requires proven experience with DRRS requirements, software development priorities, and the ability to execute program plans, budgets, and milestones. Finally, the candidate must exhibit strong leadership and communication skills to articulate progress and changes effectively to stakeholders and senior leaders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of the Department of War processes and Department of Air Force policy, procedures, and schedules for developing plans in support of major Space Force missions and operations plans.
2. Knowledge of Space Force program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions as related to actual events.
3. Knowledge of the Space Force Strategic Basing process, such as the Basing Request Review Panel (BRRP), the Strategic Basing Executive Steering Group, and the Space Force Corporate Structure.
4. Knowledge of the relationship of the various Space Force entities involved in overall planning and execution of military operations and evaluations, and the way PPBE processes support them.
5. Knowledge of Space Force installations to include the interaction of Total Force partners (to include Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve).
6. Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making.
7. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, negotiate complex issues, and maintain good working relations.

- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assign.
