Duties

DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in establishing and developing effective marketing plans. Marketing plans consist of comprehensive publicity, promotional, sales, and merchandising strategies and campaigns. Includes recommendations for various media layouts such as copy, photographic, print, and broadcast releases.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of general business, marketing, advertising, merchandising, and public relations practices, methods, and processes.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, and favorable completion of a Tier 1 background investigation is required.

  • Must be willing to work irregular work schedule (nights/weekends/holidays)

  • This is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) position carrying out Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) activities for the Army.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens, have a valid U.S. passport, and be 18 years or older to be considered for positions.
  • Driver's License is required.
  • Graphic Design abilities required.
  • Applicants must have one year of post-high school experience in the service industry or one year of post-high school education.
  • Probationary period may be required.
  • All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME:

Demonstrated work experience directly related to the duties to be performed. Work experience must be equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower grade level.

Preferred are those candidates who possess work experience or education directly related to Graphic Design.

Education

High School graduate or equivalent.

Additional information

This is a limited tenure position not to exceed 15 months. This is an unaccompanied program due to the fact that we cannot provide logistical support to family members. Dorm-style housing is provided in lieu of a living quarters allowance. Transportation to and from Germany is provided in accordance with the terms of the Joint Travel Regulation and the executed transportation agreement. Military spouses and family members currently residing within the Garmisch Military Community who apply under this announcement will be considered for a regular appointment.
