Summary

This position is located with FMWR Marketing Department on Fort Greely, AK.

Eligible for 3.21%COLA.

Up to 25% recruitment and retention incentive may be authorized for positions offering at least a guarantee of 10 hours per week.

Duties

  • Research, compile and/or write entertainment listings, soft feature items and extended cutlines for niche product to include print and electronic mediums. Update layout of entertainment listings.
  • Photograph community events.
  • Assist with developing content of niche product by suggesting story ideas and keeping management up to date on community events.
  • Attend community briefings, events and functions as a representative for the organization. Serve as the central point of contact for matters related to day-to-day operations.
  • Carry out a wide variety of administrative functions related to the preparation of correspondence, personnel, accounting, purchasing, maintenance and repair of equipment, management of records and information, budget preparation and oversight.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.

  • May be required to work occasional evening and weekends as events schedule dictates.

Qualifications

Progressively responsible work experience at or equivalent to, the work of the position to be filled.

AND

Must possess the following:
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Working knowledge of MS office.
  • Experience with digital photography.
  • Type 40wpm.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives may be paid.
  • Up to 25% recruitment and retention incentive may be authorized.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
  • Eligible for 3.21% COLA (subject to change without notice).
