This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families.

Duties
- Performs marketing functional services under the general supervision of the Marketing Manager.
- Duties include determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation, and community awareness of key Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs.
- Conducts Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising and keeps track of viable annual events for which to seek commercial sponsorship.
- Packages events, develops solicitation packet and solicits sponsorship from local sponsors; negotiating mutually beneficial sponsorship terms and executing all supporting documents.
- Coordinates with the installation Staff Judge Advocate to ensure that terms of sponsorship are in accordance with all DA, IMCOM and local regulations and policies.
- Attends events and serves as point of contact for sponsors at events.
Conditions of Employment

- Valid State Driver’s License is required.
- This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
- one (1) year of work experience in developing advertising programs and selling commercial advertising, AND
- knowledge of Commercial Sponsorship & Advertising Practices, AND
- the technical skills needed to effectively perform marketing and promotion using tools of the trade and social media, AND
- ability to communicate both orally and in writing, AND
- ability to establish a professional rapport with activity managers and sponsor representative of varying management levels.
