Clarification from the agency

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. U.S. citizens overseas under ordinary resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.

Duties

  • Receives stock; checks for over, short or damaged shipments; completes receiving documents; and moves to storage areas.
  • Identifies and rotates stock including hazardous materials, ensuring special storage requirements have been met. May operate a forklift in storing and rotating stock.
  • Issue materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verifies inventory and shipping documents; independently prepares shipping documents and related reports. Inventories assigned areas/materials as directed.
  • Drives various types of automobiles from sedans to passenger vans and trucks weighing up to 10,000 pounds to transport supplies, and materials on the installation.
  • Assists with loading and unloading cargo and materials. Ensures vehicle is not loaded beyond the rated capacity by checking cargo papers and by visual observation. Completes trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records.
  • Fills out driver's accident report in caseof accident. Performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

  1. Applicant must have 12 months in material handling and supply activities or related work experience.
  2. Must possess a valid driver's license.

  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.

  • Incentives will not be paid.
