Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
- Applicant must have 12 months in material handling and supply activities or related work experience.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Performs work on hard surfaces and in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending. May be required to work at rapid pace for long periods of time. Frequently lifts and carries supplies and equipment that weighs up to 40 pounds. Assistance is available from other workers and equipment for moving items over 40 pounds. Light physical effort is required in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Moderate physical effort is required in the handling of objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and the occasional handling of heavier objects while loading cargo with the assistance of others or weight handling equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed inside warehouse in bin rooms, open storage areas and on receiving or shipping docks. Areas may be cold, drafty, damp or hot. Frequently exposed to scrapes, cuts and bruises. May be exposed to broken hones from falling stock or moving equipment. Required to wear safety equipment and clothing appropriate for this position. Drives outside in all kinds of weather in a controlled traffic environment throughout a military installation. Exposed to dirt and fumes, and the possibility of cuts, bruises, and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving or from falling objects when loading and unloading the vehicle.

Allowances and Differentials
- This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week - whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
- Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), incentives and differentials will not be paid.

- If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
