Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Meatcutting Worker without more than normal supervision. Resumes will be reviewed for experience and/or training which provided skills and knowledge of the following: For example: Working in the retail meat department traying, wrapping and weighing meat for sale to patrons. Cutting, trimming and boning meat. Using hand tools and operating powered meat cutting equipment and replenishing stock and rotating products - - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

- PHYSICAL EFFORT: Walks and stands continuously while working. Work requires constant grasping of chill and frozen meat products. Frequently lifts, pushes and pulls pieces and bulk boxes of meat weighing 50 to 100 pounds; hand trucks and dollies are available and used to move heavy items. Pushes and pulls weighted pallets with electric or manual jacks.
- WORKING CONDITIONS: Most work is performed in the meat processing rooms which is well lit and has a temperature maintained between 28-38 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to colder temperatures when pricing, rotating or preparing goods for shipment, or when receiving product outside. Incumbent is exposed to the risk of cuts and injuries from knives and power equipment, and danger from falling on wet and slippery floors. Protective clothing and equipment (metal mesh apron, gloves, safety shoes, etc.) are provided.
