Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
GS-07:One year of specialized experience, equivalent to a GS-05, as a professional engineer applying basic engineering concepts to assist in the design and layout of mechanical equipment and systems.
GS-09:One year of specialized experience, equivalent to a GS-07, as a professional engineer applying engineering principles to design, operate, or maintain Naval shipboard weapon systems.
GS-11:One year of specialized experience, equivalent to a GS-09, as a professional engineer reviewing plans for a wide variety of shipboard equipment related to mechanical engineering to identify engineering design, logistical, or maintenance support issues.
GS-12:One year of specialized experience, equivalent to a GS-11, as a professional engineer evaluating plans for a wide variety of shipboard equipment related to mechanical engineering to identify engineering design, logistical, or maintenance support issues.
