Join Our Pediatric Clinic Team as a Medical Appointment Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Appointment Coordinator to join our vibrant Pediatric Clinic. This is a full-time, on-site position with no telework options. Your work hours will be scheduled between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM, ensuring an eight-hour workday, with core hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. As a key team member, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our clinic, providing administrative support and enhancing patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule patient medical appointments to support the outpatient clinic operations.
• Accurately enter data using medical terminology into patient medical records.
• Verify patient eligibility and maintain accurate beneficiary information in the database.
• Handle incoming calls, providing general information about the hospital services.
• Manage and maintain appointment schedules to avoid conflicts in patient care and treatment.
• Operate office automation tools for scheduling and canceling appointments effectively.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required for this position.
• Typing Proficiency: Ability to type at least 40 words per minute with three or fewer errors.
• Specialized Experience: At least one year of clinical clerical experience or equivalent education, such as coursework in business, secretarial, or technical school. A combination of both is also acceptable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within six months of hire.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Annual seasonal influenza vaccination is mandatory unless exempt for medical or religious reasons.
• Tuberculosis (TB) testing is required for all staff members.
