You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that demonstrates 1). experience with HIPAA law, state privacy laws, and local directives pertaining to the release of health care information and disposition of medical records; 2). maintaining medical records in accordance with regulations utilizing terminal digit filing system, 3). preparation of correspondence and summaries of medical records for external and internal requests; and 4). auditing medical records documentation for accuracy and completeness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in federal service (GS-05)
