Position Overview
Join our dedicated team at the Veterans Health Administration as a Mental Health Psychologist. This rewarding position provides you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of veterans through comprehensive psychological services within the Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP). As a key member of our team, you will offer essential mental health care, execute psychological assessments, and deliver evidence-based treatments.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat mental disorders through individual, family, and group psychotherapy using a variety of modalities including Evidence-Based Treatments.
- Conduct formal and informal psychological assessments for various patient conditions, ensuring compassionate care that accommodates diverse needs.
- Collaborate with medical center staff and community providers to support patient recovery while adhering to privacy standards.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families to promote health care adherence and relapse prevention.
- Offer clinical supervision to trainees and unlicensed psychologists, and contribute to the Psychology Training Program.
- Participate in program development tasks, clinical supervision, and peer review activities.

Requirements
- Doctoral degree in psychology from an APA, PCSAS, or CPA accredited program.
- Completion of a professional psychology internship from a recognized program, or current board certification.
- Possession of a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology, or ability to obtain within two years under supervision.
- U.S. Citizenship and proficiency in English.
