Duties

  • Drives various types of automobiles from sedans to passenger vans and trucks weighing up to 10,000 pounds to deliver customer food orders on post
  • Collects money for delivered orders and reconciles with delivery tickets
  • Fills out driver's accident report in case of accident. Performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations
  • Performs lower graded Food Service and Custodial duties when not needed to operate vehicle. Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works under direct supervision of duty manager. New or unusual work assignments are thoroughly spelled out prior to work being assigned.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.

  • Shifts may include working, morning, nights, weekends, holidays and special events
  • Pre-employment physical is required
  • The appropriate driver’s license must be valid and current.

PCS Costs:
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs ARE NOT AUTHOIRIZED, based on a determination that a PCS move IS NOT in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
  • Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
