Duties
As a NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTER - Title 32, WG-3705-10, you will inspect aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive inspection methods and performs fluid analysis.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Conditions of Employment:
- National Guard Membership is required.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- May be required to obtain an appropriate clearance to perform the work in sensitive areas.
- Technicians are required to perform annual task evaluations on each inspection duty in order to maintain certification.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to set up and operate test equipment, use test apparatus to apply tests to material or products, record readings, observe and record established reactions, and classify according to defined categories.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the WG-3705-10 level, applicant must have at least 18 months experience or training in using ultrasonic and/or eddy current inspection techniques to observe, measure, and detect discontinuities and flaws. Experience classifying test results, identifying material deficiencies and recommending courses of action for items of equipment. Experience recommending engine components to be inspected and forwarding results to the appropriate authority. Experience performing scheduled inspections of testing equipment ensuring compliance with established technical regulations and procedures.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
