Basic Requirements for Supervisory Physician Assistant:
Education: Bachelor's or graduate (or higher level) degree with major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
In addition to meeting the basic requirements above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
GS-11 Specialized Experience: A minimum of one full year of specialized experience which includes scheduling, facilitating and coordinating of Preventive Medicine, Public Health, or Occupational Medicine Courses. Assisting in the development, design, implementation, coordination, and administration of graduate level public health courses to seasoned Public Health Officers. Conducting operations and instruction of classes; completing schedules for assigned courses and arranging for guest speakers support. Experience using technology and software application programs such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Forms, Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point; various military health databases, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), word processing, database, spreadsheets, graphics, to collect, store, retrieve, and prepare consolidated training, clinical experience, and program activity reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
