Nursing Educator Opportunity

We are thrilled to announce an opening for a dedicated and experienced Nursing Educator to join our team at the Education and Learning Resource Service. This role is perfect for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about enhancing the skills and knowledge of clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate educational needs for clinical staff development.
  • Utilize innovative teaching strategies and evaluate educational outcomes.
  • Coordinate education programs focusing on staff training and self-management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to influence care outcomes.
  • Provide evidence-based education and training for both clinical and non-clinical nursing staff.
  • Conduct learning needs assessments and develop educational trainings.
  • Assist with the orientation and evaluation of new employees.
  • Support and develop nurse residency programs and other institutional educational initiatives.
  • Analyze and evaluate data to improve educational programs.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in basic written and spoken English.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE).
  • Possess a current, full, active, and unrestricted nursing registration in the U.S.
  • Experience in educational roles, particularly in geriatric care, is preferred.
  • Masters in Nursing Education is the preferred degree.

Eligibility Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship or eligible non-citizen as per VA Policy.
  • Completion of pre-employment physical examination.
  • Compliance with vaccination programs (influenza and COVID-19) per Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel requirements.
