This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: The Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More than Normal Supervision. Tasks related to this position include: Inspecting optical instruments and associated components to determine the extent of repair, overhaul, modifications needed; Understand a wide variety of optical test and inspection equipment, precision measuring instruments and tools such as prisms, collimators, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, micrometers, gauges, regulators, monometers, torque wrenches, jigs, etc, required to perform the necessary repairs and alignment. Select proper blueprints, technical manuals, technical instructions, specification, Statement of Work, and other instructions.
